Conventions

 

The New York State Professional Firefighters Association (NYSPFFA). Has a convention annually to bring local firefighter unions across the state together to share knowledge and education as well as camaraderie and good times. The conventions are moved around the state every year to locals who are willing to put in the extra time to help host the week long event. Hundreds of firefighters from across the state attend this convention. This convention is a great economic boost for our community as it draws hundreds of people to the area for almost a week, who lodge at our hotels and enjoy our shops and restaurants. Our union has hosted the convention in Ithaca once in 2015 and have put in again to host it in 2020.
